What to Chase in 2025 Panini Prizm Football

2025 Panini Prizm Football is one of the high-mark releases of the season. For more than a decade, the chrome brand has been a football card juggernaut, offering collectors plenty of color and lots of opportunities for rare autographs and inserts.

This year is no different. Here are some of the highlights:

Ready, Set, Rainbow

Parallels are the foundation of the chase in every Panini Prizm release. But that doesn’t mean that things haven’t changed over the years. In 2012, the first Prizm Football set had just six base set parallels. 

Now, it has jumped more than 10-fold. For 2025, base cards have more than 70 different versions. This includes a lot of exclusives in the set’s many hobby and retail configurations. This provides incentive for not only hunting for singles but dabbling in breaks with different boxes and packs.

Key Rookies

Prizm Football is a great place to jump into rookie cards. Sure autographs and low-numbered cards are great, but they can also be expensive. Base rookies in Prizm aren’t rare. Far from it, actually.

Still, because of the line’s immense popularity, Prizm offers up some of the top rookie cards in all of football cards.

Shedeur Sanders, Cam Ward, Jaxson Dart, Ashton Jeanty, Travis Hunter and Cam Skattebo are some of the names to watch for.

Rookie Autographs

Rookie Autographs are another staple in Prizm Football. This is yet another place where tradition is strong for the line.

Building off the base design, Rookie Autographs start with Silver Prizms and build out the rainbow from there.

Color Blast

It’s not just parallels that deliver the color. Rare Color Blast inserts are back. With it comes the minimalist white background and signature rainbow cloud bursts.

2025 Panini Prizm Football Color Blast has two different versions. For starters, there are 30 standard inserts. These are a mix of rookies and superstars.

Joining these are 10 Color Blast Duals that double up the players on each card. All duos are teammates.

Manga

Japanese comic art is the inspiration for Prizm’s other short print insert set. As they have for the past couple of years, these go more over-the-top, presenting more of players’ personalities.

Fun, quirky and incredibly rare.
