6 Athletes to Watch from 2026 Topps Chrome US Olympic and Paralympic Hopefuls

The world will be watching when the 2026 Winter Olympics kick off this February in Milano Cortina. For collectors, they’ll be able to follow along with cards in hand thanks to 2026 Topps Chrome U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Team Hopefuls.

This is the second Topps Chrome Olympic set, following up on 2024’s release for the summer games in Paris.

The checklist has all the things Chrome is known for including Refractors, autographs and rare inserts. 

Here are six gold medal contenders to hunt for in the product.

Ilia Malinin - Figure Skating

At the age of 21 Ilia Malinin is already a two-time World Champion and four-time national champ. After just missing out on the 2022 Olympics, Malinin heads to Italy as one of the gold medal favorites in men’s figure skating. He’s currently the only skater to ever successfully complete a full quadruple Axel in an international competition.

2026 Topps Chrome features Malinin’s first trading cards.

Chloe Kim - Snowboarding

Snowboarder Chloe Kim is one of the biggest names on Team USA heading to Milano Cortina. She’ll be going for her third straight Olympic gold medal in the halfpipe. Kim has won three World Championships and is a superpipe legend at the Winter X Games. 

All this and she’s still only 25-years old.

Kim is no stranger to sports cards. After appearing on a Sports Illustrated for Kids card in 2016, she was a big part of the 2018 Topps US Olympic Team checklist. Kim has appeared in several multi-sport sets in the years since.

Mikaela Shiffrin - Alpine Skiing

Mikaela Shiffrin enters the 2026 Winter Olympics as a two-time gold medalist. She also has the most World Cup wins ever for any skier and has 16 season titles across slalom, giant slalom, Super G and overall. A very strong argument can be made that Shiffrin is the greatest alpine skier ever.

2026 Topps Chrome has Shiffrin’s first Olympic-themed cards, however her debut was back in 2017 on a Sports Illustrated for Kids card. She also has a large presence in a 2021 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions and 2021 SkyBox Metal Universe Champions.

Alysa Liu - Figure Skating

Alysa Liu will be going for her first Olympic medal in Milano Cortina. She heads to Italy as the reigning women’s world champion in figure skating, the first American to win the title since Kimmie Meissner in 2006.

For those who like big air while watching skating, Liu is one of the best. She was the first to hit both a quadruple jump and triple axel in the same skate. 

While this is her first set as an Olympian, Liu has a relatively small amount of cards in 2022 Goodwin Champions and 2022 Metal Universe Champions as well.

Jordan Stolz - Speed Skating

Just 21-years old, Jordan Stolz is heading to his second Olympic games. He’s won several gold medals in various world championship events over the past several years. This includes in 2024 when he became the youngest male to ever win the World Allround Speed Skating Championships.

2026 Topps Chrome marks Stolz’ sports card debut.

Erin Jackson - Speed Skating

After standing atop the podium in Beijing in 2022, Erin Jackson will be defending her gold medal in 500 m speed skating in Italy. The University of Florida graduate is highly decorated in her sport as well as roller derby.

Outside of a Sports Illustrated for Kids card four years ago, Jackson did not have any other sports cards before 2026 Topps Chrome.
