Tom Brady to Announce Next 10 Fanatics Fest Athletes on Fanatics Live
Tom Brady will be on Fanatics live to announce the next 10 athletes heading to Fanatics Fest 2026.

The year was 1977. The Star Wars phenomenon was launching. Songs about dancing queens and California hotels were hits while Elvis Presley passed away.
On the diamond, Rod Carew flirted with .400 and George Foster hit 52 home runs. Eddie Murray and Andre Dawson kicked off their Hall of Fame careers winning Rookie of the Year honors.
1977 Topps Baseball included rookie cards of Dawson, Dale Murphy, Bruce Sutter and Mark Fidrych. They were joined by lots of notable stars like Nolan Ryan and early cards of George Brett and Robin Yount.
Now that 1977 Topps set is the inspiration for 2026 Topps Heritage Baseball.
Since the brand’s beginning in 2001, which was based on 1952 moving forward a year ever since, nostalgia runs heavy throughout the checklist. It’s also a release heavily favored by set collectors. That said, there’s a broad appeal at an affordable price point.
Whether you’re busting some packs, a box or joining a 2026 Topps Heritage Baseball break, here are highlights:
If you collected 1977 Topps Baseball at some point in the last four-plus decades, you’re going to be familiar with the look of 2026 Topps Heritage. It’s quaint, especially when compared to some other ‘70s sets with the flag icon at the top being the most identifiable feature.
The 2026 Topps Heritage base set has 400 total cards. Mirroring the inspiration, several subsets are a part of it including Record Breakers, League Leaders and postseason highlights.

While there are rookie cards among the standard player cards, there are also some Quad Rookies that have four. This makes for a lot of first-year content.
1977 Topps Baseball debuted the Turn Back the Clock subset. Today, historical looks back on the game are frequently found on baseball cards. At the time, not so much. These make their way into the Topps Heritage base set for the first time in 2026.
Heritage isn’t a product that traditionally has a lot of full parallel sets, but there are some that could pop up in a 2026 Topps Heritage Baseball break. Dark Gray Border, Deckle Edge and Color of the Year Orange (/77) are all available in hobby packs.
In addition to the standard parallels, all 400 base cards also have Chrome versions. This puts a much more modern twist on the throwback release.
Of course, it also means a rainbow of colorful parallels including:
• Refractors
• Light Blue Sparkle
• Blue Border - /150
• Green Border - /99
• Black Border - /77
• Gold Border - /50
• Orange Border - /25
• Red Border - /5
• Superfractors - 1/1
A small number of players, including Jac Caglianone, Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani, have Chrome Autographs as well.

Some of the most popular cards in Topps Heritage Baseball each year are the variations. These often require a close look. Some things to watch for include different banners, nicknames, All-Star logos and image swaps.
If you land a Black and White Image or Throwback Jerseys Variation, you’ve landed one of Heritage’s tough short prints.
Heritage isn’t a place to find an autograph in every box. It never has been. But the product’s Real One Autographs have been a collector favorite for decades.

Signatures are on-card. Using the throwback base design adds some nostalgia. So does the checklist. While there are lots of veteran stars and rookies, some 1977 standouts have autographs, too. These include Dale Murphy, Andre Dawson, George Brett, Dennis Eckersley, Dave Winfield and Reggie Jackson.
Special Edition Red Ink parallels are hand-numbered to 77.

Real One Dual and Quad Autographs are also available.
1977 saw the Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays join MLB. 2026 Topps Heritage Baseball has some autographs of players from the expansion squads.
