MLB Announcer Joe Davis Joins Fanatics Collect March Premier Auction Watch Party
Get details on the Fanatics Collect March Premier Auction watch party, hosted by MLB announcer Joe Davis.

2025 Panini Prizm Black Football takes a noticeably darker look for its base set. Like standard Prizm, it’s still chrome but instead of the traditional silver backdrop, it’s black—hence the name change.
Another twist from the recently released 2025 Panini Prizm Football is that the checklist is a mix of retired NFL players and collegiate prospects. Rookies and active veterans are not in it. The approach is similar to Panini’s baseball products from the past couple of years. Prizm Black is an NFL-licensed product, though, so logos and full uniforms are featured.
While this is the first standalone Prizm Black Football release, the brand was a part of Chronicles in 2021 and 2022, an anthology product that brought together a lot of brands.
Like all Prizm products, the checklist is a big one. Here are some of the key things to look for if you’re joining a 2025 Panini Prizm Black Football break or are considering busting a box.
No matter the type of Prizm set, parallels have been an important part of the checklist. Here, it’s no different. All 200 base cards have a total of 25 different Prizms parallels, delivering its trademark color.
The vast majority of Prizms are serial-numbered with /5 Black Gold Prizms and 1/1 Black Prizms being the top chase in hobby boxes. 1st Off the Line boxes are where collectors will find /5 Gold Vinyl and 1/1 Nebula Prizms.
Prizms combine to land 22 per hobby box, which is almost two per pack.

Color Blast is one of Prizm’s first short print inserts and remains a cornerstone of the brand. The general concept of a largely minimalist layout casts the player (or players in the case of Color Blast Duals) against a rainbow cloud. Simple, vibrant and extremely rare.
The main Color Blast set here has 40 cards. Color Blast Duals, which pair up past teammates, adds another 20 cards.

Color Blast aren’t the only super rare inserts in 2025 Panini Black Football. Manga, which have gained a lot of traction in the last couple of years, gets another installment here.
All 10 cards are retired greats who have been given a makeover in the Japanese comic style. Players include Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, Pat Tillman and John Elway.

Three autographs are in every 2025 Panini Prizm Football hobby box. That one more than the season’s main Prizm Football release.
For those looking for Hall of Fame signatures, there are a lot of them. Emmitt Smith, Randy Moss, Joe Montana, Joe Namath and Peyton Manning are just a few of the legends with ink on the checklist. NIL prospects have a strong presence as well, including a handful of players who are still in high school.
Among the autograph inserts are Flashback Signatures, Prizmatrix Signatures, Sensational Signatures, Prolific Signatures and Dual Autographs. The majority of the base set has autographed versions as well.
Like most of Prizm Black’s checklist, a variety of parallels can be found.
