2025-26 Topps Basketball: Hunt for These SSP Inserts

The 2025-26 Topps Basketball checklist is a big one. Capturing the NBA’s biggest stars, legends and rookies, things go far beyond the 270-card base set.

The first flagship Topps hoops release since 2009-10, it has all the makings of a modern product including parallel rainbows, autographs and memorabilia cards. Of course, there are several other insert sets. But some are harder to find than others.

Here’s a look at some of the toughest 2025-26 Topps Basketball cards and where to find them.

Class of 2025

Members of the latest draft class can be found on several spots of the 2025-26 Topps Basketball checklist. When it comes to inserts, Class of 2025 features some of the rarest rookies in the product.

Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper and VJ Edgecombe are among the 20 NBA freshman who light up this set.

Class of 2025 cards fall 1:3,583 hobby packs, 1:910 jumbo packs, 1:8,305 value packs, 1:7,904 mega packs, and 1:2,669 hanger boxes

Red (/5) and FoilFractor (1/1) parallels are also available.

Hidden Gems

Hidden Gems is a line that’s kind of an open secret at this point. No matter the sports or license, most Topps products have some Hidden Gems. They’re making the jump to the NBA with a list of players that’s still under wraps. Odds have not been announced, either.

Besides the scarce base versions, Citrinate (/10), Alexandrite (/5) and Painite (1/1) parallels are also waiting to be found.

The Hidden Gems name does have a hoops history, though. The name was used in a 2000-01 Topps Basketball set. These were relatively easy pulls at 1:11 Series 1 packs. Expect to open a lot more than that to uncover one of the new Hidden Gems.

Hobby Exclusives

For some of the 2025-26 Topps Basketball chase cards, collectors are going to have to bust certain packs. Hobby goes to court for two of them.

Comic Court

Comic books and the hardwood collide for Comic Court. These stylized cards imagine players as though they were splashed across a cover, ready to do battle.

Nikola Jokić, Anthony Edwards and Giannis Antetokounmpo are among the 20 superstars and rookies covered.

Comic Court cards are 1:736 hobby packs and 1:217 jumbo packs.

Think of Home Court as the hoops equivalent to baseball’s Home Field Advantage. Players are incorporated into a collage of local landmarks. Nicknames also come into play for some of these 10 cards.

Collectors will find these approximately 1:2,400 hobby packs and 1:400 jumbo.

Hobby boxes aren’t the only place to find short print inserts. Retail configurations like value boxes and mega boxes have a couple of exclusives.

Sonic Boom

Sonic Boom captures swift stars within a big and bold shockwave tunnel. These land 1:1,930 value packs (or about 1:276 value boxes), 1:2,319 mega box packs and 1:697 hanger boxes. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, LaMelo Ball and Tyrese Haliburton are among those bringing the Boom.
